I can understand the idea of splurging on a "luxury" cosmetic item, but why anyone would pay over $8.00 for any cleanser when there are so many excellent inexpensive cleansers from Oil of Olay, Neutrogena, Basis, Aveeno, and Purpose (among others) is beyond me. Among all of those choices, there's certain to be an inexpensive cleanser for every skin type and preference. Oh well, I guess there have to be some suckers out there to keep pumping money back into the economy. I'm just glad it isn't me! This cleanser by Oil of Olay is my very favorite. I have very fair, oily, somewhat sensitive skin and even with the beta hydroxy acid in it, I've never had a reaction. It feels creamy going on, but foams up slightly when water is added. The little "granules" in the foam are slightly exfoliating but the cleanser doesn't feel uncomfortably grainy or harsh like a scrub might. It's strong enough to take off all of my make-up, including eye makeup, but it doesn't leave my skin feeling completely stripped and squeaky, and yet it keeps my oily skin in check and blemishes at bay. This is truly the ONE skincare or cosmetic item I could not do without. Whenever I've traveled and forgotten to pack this, my skin has gone to hell really really fast.
