This cleanser has BHA in it, and though I am allergic to AHA and BHA I was surprised how gentle and non-irritating this cleanser is. It feels like a cream cleanser and has small beads to exfoliate the skin. Very non-drying and non-irritating. The BHA has also seemed to get rid some of my persistent whitehead problem. It does seem to leave a residue on the face but so far it has not caused me breakouts. I use this only once a day b4 I sleep-(coz it does make my face oil up faster), when my face is cleaner-(coz the cleanser is not very cleansing).
