Effects are immediate and lasting for smoother, brighter skin as it rids the skin of dulling dead skin cells, even a marked improvement on fine lines. Based on rice there is no irritation and no weird texture. I still like to use a scrub on a weekly basis, but this meets all my needs for attacking lazy cell turnover in between.
