Born in Naples, the son of a well known hair stylist, Oscar Blandi has more than carried on his father's tradition with a must-visit salon on Madison Avenue in New York City. It was only a matter of time before he came out with his own line of hair care products - and, they're fab!

My favorite of the moment is in his Pura Collection, the Shampoo is a very gentle hair cleanser containing wheat protein that not only moisturizes but adds body and shine. Since using this I've found that I don't need to use a conditioner as often as the Shampoo always leaves my normal/fine hair feeling soft, smooth, never dry.

Does anyone else remember when shampoo came in glass bottle, slippery things in the shower? What were the manufacturers thinking? Blandi's shampoo is housed in attractive slim plastic easy-to-hold bottles.

The fragrance is subtle - a fresh, clean, fruity scent.
