The addition of avocado oil and jojoba make this a gloss that's more than your garden variety gloss. It glides on smoothly, and is light in weight. Therefore, the effect of shiny lips is produced without the drawbacks of stickiness. Goo never has been attractive!

Also, the shape of the wand provides smooth application by the slight flatness on one side. Other glosses I've tried have wands that are stick straight which make putting it on neatly a bit of a chore.
