Horrible for the sensitive-skinned
After I had a horrible allergic reaction to a product I tried from C.O. Bigelow, I had a sneaking suspicion I was sensitive-skinned. But I figured it was the only allergic reaction I've had to the countless number cosmetics and skincare products I've tried. So I thought I was safe with the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser.

I was extremely happy with the scent and the creamy smooth texture of the product. The packaging is cute too; I love the saying on the bottle. It does what it says it does very well - it took off my makeup easily and without extreme scrubbing. Again, the fragrance was welcoming, unlike other facial cleansers that smell medicinal. I felt very refreshed after each wash and used it in the morning and afternoon as recommended. Everything was fine for the first two weeks. And then I started noticing I was getting little red bumps on my face, smaller than pimples but definitely noticeable. It got progressively worse over the week. Since Purity Made Simple was the only new product I had added to my routine in the last two months, I stopped using it. Immediately, I could see an improvement in my skin. Unfortunately, my skin is still repairing itself; I'm left with several facial spots and scars I never had before.

Although it started out as a wonderful experience, I would stay away from Purity Made Simple if you are careful about not putting random chemicals on your face.
