I have just finished a sample of this cleanser and did end up buying it
after using it for three days. Although I am partial to foaming
cleansers, I have found that those are drying for my combination skin.
I like that I can apply Real Purity to dry or damp skin and actually
found it "lathered" more (by emulsifying in in my hands first) if
applied to dry skin. Applying it to damp skin seems to dilute it too
much. I gave it a 4, not a 5, because it is kind of thin and watery,
and because while it doesn't smell bad it could smell better. However,
it is the only cleanser I have tried recently that doesn't dry out my
skin and leaves a clean (not tight) feeling. I have very sensitive skin
that has reacted (with a burning feeling) to even sensitive skin
cleaners (for example, Aveda's). I was using Shiseido's gentle foaming cleanser
for the last several months this but found this too drying, so will try this line for
awhile. Philosophy is good about giving out samples so I would
recommend trying these products first.
