This is a two part lip gloss that consists of a stain (can be used either on the lips or the cheeks - I've only used it on the lips though) and a gloss. The stain can be layered to give either a subtle tint or a slightly darker color - and is easy to apply with the applicator provided. As it doesn't leave an obvious layer on your lips (ie like lipstick, you can fool people into thinking that it's your natural lip color). According to the packaging the gloss can be applied with your fingers but I found it to sticky to do this so using a brush is better. I have only had positive comments about how it looks, with people frequently asking me what gloss I'm wearing as well as commenting on its staying power. Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks;
1) as mentioned earlier I use a brush to apply the gloss and I have been unable to wash it out of the brush - so I use a cheap brush solely for the gloss
2) I also imagine that if you have long hair it will stick to your lips - I have short hair so this isn't a problem for me but I know that it's a common complaint about glosses from people with long hair.
Additionally, for a more natural look I sometimes also use Kiehl's no1 lip balm over the stain.
Overall a big thumbs up
