This is one of those products you like despite the negative reaction you had to it. Allow me to explain..
Given that I have rosacea on top of acne on top of seborrheic dermatitis, this is not a good choice for me. It did make me break out. However, I think it has to do with the delicate balance I face with PH levels. This formula has glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, and witch hazel, and the PH may just be too powerful for my skin....This is just a theory, but I believe when the PH level is upset too much, like when you use a cleanser that is too powerful for you, you become more breakout prone. So, after all that, for someone who just has minimal breakout problems, and not multiple conditions, this moisturizer has a nice texture, and is surprizingly calming for so many acidic ingredients. Therefore it falls into the "I wish I could use it" catergory.
