This is a great product and has restored my faith with Revlon glosses! It's a pen that you twist -- the gloss flows to the brush -- and then you apply. It's not messy, it smells like fruit, and it actually made my lips feel smooth, look glossy, and feel great! The shade I have is called "Super Trooper" -- a plum/purple color with grape flavor. It's wonderful!
