This mascara is supposed to be similar to Maybelline's WonderCurl, L'oreal's curling mascara, et. al... Anyway, I didn't really see much of a difference, maybe *slight* curling but nothing noticable. The mascara goes on only OK; it's not clumpy but it's not sparse. The brush is ok, full but not very. Beware of the colors though because when I was at my local <a href="http://www.wal-mart.com/">Wal-Mart</a>, I thought I was buying brown-black shade: the swatch on the corner definitely looked brown-black. When I got home, I discovered that it is actuallu a very dark, brown-purple color with a minimal amount of shine. From far away I couldn't really tell the difference, but then again, I have naturally dark lashes. Although, those with lighter lashes might. I'm sure that it comes in the requisite brown and black but I didn't find it at the store. Maybe you will.
