Tired of the tugging, caking and smudging associated with my eyelining pencils I tossed them all out in a fit of rage one morning and have been looking for an alternative ever since. I tried applying wet shadow and that worked somewhat better but wasn’t a long-term solution for me - it took far too much time. One night I caught Smashbox on QVC while they were touting their creme eyeliner. I was seduced by the hype and spent, what I thought at the time, was a ridiculous amount of money for a pot of liner and brush (just under $35 with shipping – for one color "violet"). After using this for several weeks (and perfecting my technique which took a little bit of practice because I was used to pencils) I no longer regret the cost at all. This is by far the best eyeliner I have ever used. It’s goes on easy (with *no* tugging), looks very natural, is extremely blendable and, best of all, it stays put all day. The pot is filled with a generous amount of liner and the brush is soft and very easy to work with
