Viola is a medium purplish mauve with a silvery gray undertone, muted and slightly smoky. It has low to moderate shimmer, so the effect is pretty and fun without looking over the top. I wear Viola smudged over eyeliner (usually dark purple or dark gray) and as a crease shade. I like it with light gray, taupe and lavender. It looks fab worn with Stila Cloud, which is a pale grayish taupe with a hint of white. Cloud picks up the silvery gray undertone in Viola, and the combination of the two, topped off with dark gray liner, is a beautiful eye look. The texture is smooth and soft, and the eyeshadow both blends well and wears well on my lids.
