Hoo boy, am I getting frustrated. :)
Okay, I KNOW that a foundation is only as good as the
skin that it's applied to. I KNOW this. BUT, after
trying MAC Studiofix and having it advertise all of
my dry spots I thought I had done a fairly good amount
of homework to come up with someothing similar that
would not do that. After reading several message boards
and consulting (via telephone) with a saleslady at Nordstrom's,
I was convinced Urban Decay Surreal Skin was it.
Not so. I just received a refill tin of "Dream" from
ebay (great way to try things without breaking the bank)
and applied it and wow, it does a worse job than Studiofix
for showing off my dry flaky spots. What a bummer, too, because
the color matches and it's such a baby fine powder. Oh, I am
so sad! I can't give it a rotten review because of my own
flaky skin, but I can warn other women who have dry skin that this
product is NOT FOR YOU.
Unless anyone else has a suggestion for a foundation in a compact, then
I will bite the bullet and order Vincent Long's water canvas.
Suggestions are always welcome. :)
