I think someone mentioned that this is like loose powder in a stick form, and that description couldn't be more accurate. I bought the lightest shade available called "Barely Twisted", and it suits my skintone quite nicely -- but then again it's quite sheer so even if the color's a bit off I wouldn't notice. This foundation does have a tendency to emphasize dry spots with the consistency being so dry and all, but there aren't that many dry spots on my face since I have annoyingly oily skin. Generally speaking it absorbs oil quite well and creates a smooth, matte finish. Not bad for less than $4. I would recommend that you take a look at this -- IF you have oily skin. Ladies with any other skin type would probably do better using something else.
