YSL Faux Cils is an excellent quality product. For $22.50 per tube, it should be! Faux Cils is touted as a false eyelashes mascara. While Faux Cils doesn't necessarily give my eyes a false eyelashes effect (then again, my lashes are naturally long and of medium thickness), it does a wonderful job of adding volume and definition without smearing or clumping. It also separates my lashes quite nicely, lasts all day and well into evening, and washes off easily. After applying one coat, my lashes look lush and more defined. If I apply two coats, my lashes look dramatic and glamorous. What separates a $22.50 mascara from its less expensive counterparts? I've had a hard time finding a volumizing mascara that doesn't clump or smear, gives my lashes the dramatic look I prefer, and makes my lashes look just as luscious at night as it did after I applied it in the morning. Unlike other mascaras I've used, Faux Cils fits this criteria. The only thing about this mascara that I don't like, besides the price, is the fragrance. I can understand adding fragrance to a lip product, but why add it to mascara? Thankfully, the fragrance doesn't irritate my eyes or bother me in any other way. Faux Cils has surpassed my expectations.
