Is there a self tanner that you would recommend to someone would hates to apply those types of products. I have Jergens Natural glow though I haven't been consistent with it like I should I am still searching for something else. How about those spray self tanners, how do those work or anything else you'd rec?

I am new to self tanners and recently bought RoC Minesol Bronze Self Tanning Lotion. It costs $20.00 Canadian. I have done two applications and ended up with a nice bronze color that is not orange. So far no streaks. I wore latex gloves and applied on my upper body (arms, shoulders, chest, neck, face) since it is not quite short season yet. There is no offensive smell. I really like this product. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I really love the No-Ad ST that I just bought. It's tinted (and the tint actually shows up on skin!) so you instantly look bronzed. What's better, you can see streaks as they occur. I wouldn't recommend doing this in the morning though-do it at night. It doesn't even smell that awful, a big bonus.

I love No-Ad self tanner. I've never seen the version Becky is talking about; mine looks just like any other lotion going on, no tint. It's in a big yellow bottle w/ blue lettering, I got it at Walmart. It gives a non-orangey tan that looks believable on my naturally pale skin. All STs will smell, but this one smells less than others I've tried and doesn't seem to linger as long (I can usually still smell ST after I shower).

My fave ST is L'oreal Sublime Bronze Tinted Lotion. I really hate applying sunless tanners, but I refuse to intentionally tan in the sun or be pale. This works well for me!

I haven't really noticed that, Jaime, but I did think that about the Sublime Bronze Gelee stuff.

I have two. L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Gelee and Neutrogena Build a Tan. the L'Oreal gave me a better colour but the medium is still a bit darker than I'd like it to be. I like Build a Tan because it gives you a little colour at a time.

I just got the jergens one and i'm kinda tired of applying it everyday and waiting for results....i think i'm going to get an instant one, is there a real good one that doesn't turn your skin orange and you can see the color as it goes on so you won't get streaks?? thanks
so far i've got No Ad and Loreal sublime bronze ...
Fiesty, what is the exact name of yours? is yours the tinted one?? there's so many i'm looking at the walgreens site...

Marooncream - This is the one I'm talking about.

It's the tinted version, in the tube.

The regular ones and the gelee are different because the regular ones are lotions, and the gelee is a thick gel. I love the color from the gelee, but it takes a long time to dry and streaks because it's colorless. I get the same great look from the tinted lotion without streaks and it dries faster. I like the gelee better for my face though. HTHS!

hey fiesty, thanks so this one is a lotion too but tinted?? did you buy the deep color?? i'm afraid it'll be orange on me maybe i should go for the medium-deep?? It says on the loreal site that the color on the tube is waht you want to achieve...so i'm guess it doesn't corresponds to skintone?? thanks fiesty

Yep, it's tinted, and I bought the deep one. I don't have any problems with it being too dark or orange on me - in fact, I'd have to build up the color to be anywhere close to what I'd consider a deep tan.

I have so much problem with the L'Oreal Sublime (only one I used) and so many of you having sucess so please share with me your techniques. it does not go on evenly and it washes off within one or two day. It dries my skin out and if I do not moisturize, some places are darker than other area and if I do moisturize, the color washes off me the next day. Help...

Hi Lexie!

I do the same process as I'd do with any self tanner. I shower and exfoliate my body, and then I apply a light layer of lotion all over and let that sink in. Then I start at my legs and apply the self tanner in sections until I have done my whole body. I usually shower 4-6 hours after I've sunless tanned because the smell sometimes gives me a headache if I sleep with it on overnight - I also don't like my entire bed smelling like it. The next day I moisturize, then apply sunless tanner again. For me, it's a building up process, and as long as I take the time to do it right, I have no problems. I HTHS!

I love Avène self-tanner. I gives me the most natural tan color, you can use it for face and body and it does not make me break out.
