i just learned that sephora carries biotherm, and lists the ingredients. i was very excited, as i have been wanting to try their biosensitive line, and have almost broken down and bought it (without knowing first). well- armed with my cosemtic cop knowledge, i was appauled at the ingredient list for what they call the gel-cream moisturizer. the first handful of ingredients are silicones, stearic acid, petrolatum, and beeswax. when are companies gonna realize that sensitive skin doesn't equal dry skin (not that those ingredients are good for someone with dry skin either). i could find that outdated formulation at any drugstore, plus it's over
30$ for 1.7 ounces. What a rip. I'm so glad I didn't just buy it without knowing. No offense to anyone who uses this brand. I'm just fed up with high priced stuff that is formulated so cheaply. Anyway- my rant is over. That felt good. What do you guys think? http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I know what you mean. I have sensitive skin and looked at that Biotherm line and could smell fragrance in one of the Bio-sensitive cleansers. A few other expensive brands I discovered the same. Sometimes fragrance is listed at the end of the ingredients and what ticks me off the products are suppose to be formulated for sensitive skin.

All Biotherm products are just too fragranced for me. A little bit of scent is fine (although I still prefer fragrance-free), but I don't want the scent to linger on and on after a mere face wash.
Yeah, from the products that I have sampled at the dep't stores, they seem to put a lot of peppermint in their stuff which is ridiculous because peppermint is a known skin irritant. They put it in there to give us that "cool, tingling" sensation. But for those of us who are in the know about ingredients, we know that the cool tingling sensation spells BAD news for your face! Noxzema anyone?
