It came out really good. My hair is naturally wavy/curly, and it's a few inches past shoulder length and layered. I used a big round brush and a blow-dryer to first straighten it, then I went over it with a flat-iron. It looks shaggy (because of the layers) but sophisticated at the same time...if that makes sense. It's sexy lol! It's a nice change. Because my hair is fine and medium rather than thick it didn't actually take as long to style this way than I had thought it would. I love it! I'm excited and just wanted to share.

Nice! I always straighten my hair since I don't like the way it looks curly/wavy. Doesn't it feel so much smoother and softer when it's straight? and it looks so much shinier http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Sounds nice, Heather!! Your hair sounds similar to mine - mine's a few inches past my shoulders and wavy, but it's thick and definitely not fine. It takes me about 15 minutes to blow dry my hair, and then another 15 or so to straighten it. That's why it doesn't happen often, LOL!! I might blow-dry it, but it's rarely straightened. My friend always laughs at me because my hair will be straight on top, but if the wind blows or something, you can see chunks of my hair underneath that will have lots of wave. Ah well, LOL!! I need to do something with mine more often, but since it's been so hot and humid, I hate to heat style.

Thanks guys :-) I actually like and prefer the way my hair looks curly/wavy, but this was a nice two-day change. It's back to curls my next shampoo :-) Erica, my hair took me about 30 minutes to do too. I don't blame you for not heat-styling much -I was running around at work today, and it was SO hot, and the ends of my hair (the layered pieces) started to curl up because of sweat and humidity! Ugh. But it was nice while it lasted. Maybe I'll try it again...in, say, October... ;-)

That's another thing I hate!

Oh I know what you mean about sweat and humidity. I have to use a lot of products to combat the frizz every time I straigten, but luckily the products I use are awesome and withstands the humidity. I wish I could embrace my natural wavy/curly hair http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I have yet to find a product that can make my hair not curl up or frizz out when I straighten it. I hate it, when it's humid I have to wear it up or curly.

it's so humid here so whenever i straighten it(which is always, my natural waves arent really pretty), the ends always curl and it BUGS me to death!
