So we went to Vegas for the weekend to celebrate our first anniversary. Of course I had to stop by the MAC pro store in the Forum shop. It was so crazy but luckily I was smart to make a list of things I wanted to get. Otherwise, I'd be so lost, lol. I was sooo sad that they were out of peachstock lipstick, but I guess I'll just have to go to the pro store in SF some other time. I ended up getting:

blacktrack fluidline - love! I use this to tightline and it's by far the BEST I've ever tried. Stay on my lids all day, even after long day walking around the strip
patina e/s - this could be my new fav e/s, it's excellent to use in crease
Lavender Light Fx Hyper Real Pressed Powder - this is only available at Pro stores, it's supposed to brighten your skin tone but very subtly
Mixing Medium (water base) - I haven't try this yet
White Gold and Electric Coral pigment - white gold is absolutely gorgeous, perfect for underbrow, and electric coral is a fun coral-orange shade, I think it'll be good on eyes, cheeks and lips.
Freckletone lipstick - since peachstock was out, the MA tried to find me something similar and this is the closest one. A gorgeous peachy nude, very lovely!

I also got 3 empty pigment containers and 3 stackable containers, they only allow you 3 each per day.

I also went to the huge Sephora in the Venetian, but walked away with nothing (trying to be good). Got to see a few of the brands in person which aren't available in my area.

Awesome haul Kat! And congratulations on your anniversary as well! What color does white gold pigment show up on your lids? Is the green shimmer or glitter in it obvious? I was always curious about that color. Everything you got sounds great. Enjoy everything.

Congratulations on your one-year anniversary, Kat! And I also have to ask, how do you go about getting those empty jars?

Butting in lol....I have WHite Gold & it doesn't have obvious glitter - just a gold-green glimmer to it, whereas Vanilla is just golden-beige, White Gold is almost like a duochrome e/s (flashes different undertones). HTHS!

Great haul Kat!! I haven't been to MAC in forever - I broke my Patina e/s a long time ago, need to replace!

Nice haul, Kat!! Vegas sound fun!!

I love Blacktrack and Patina. You should try Patina with Mulch sometime - that's one of my fave combos!

I think I may need Freckletone now too...

Oh Kat. You have no idea how green I am with envy. The Forum Shop MAC is probably my favorite store. Ever. The MA's are so nice. One spent 2 hours with my me and my mom on a friday night trying to help us pick out new colors and create new looks. I wanted more than just 3 of the stackable jars for pigments, so she gave me 7 of those little sample jars, which are actually REALLY nice. And I mentioned how I loved the Matte Black Pigment as liner but I lost my sample, and didn't want to by that whole thing. So she gave me a huge jar sample of it, filled to the top. She also gave me instructions and insider tips for getting a job there, because I would love to do that. Best MAC experience I've ever had.

Nice selection by the way. Please let me know how you like Electric Coral. I'm dying to try it, because it seems like something I would love.

& I LOVE the Mixing Medium. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thanks everyone! I'll report back on the items that I haven't try later. As for the empty pigment jars, they sell these at all pro stores, I think it's $2-$3 each and you can only purchase 3 per day. But you are welcome to go back and purchase again even if it's the next day, that's what the MA told me, she said if I'm still in town, I can go back and pick up more. I was planning on getting 5, after thinking about it, I think 3 is good for now. The stackable container is a lot smaller, similar to the sample jars they use in the store/counter. The lid is sold separately, for $1 (I think) and the container itself is around $2. But the lid is not black and has no logo. It's also limited to 3 max per person per day.

Erica, I think Freckletone is going to be my top nude lipstick, you must check it out! I'll definitely pair patina with mulch sometime. It sounds like a gorgeous combo.

And phat haul lol -- I'd love to see White Gold in person ... it sounds fascinating from what everyone's said about it!

Freckletone ... is that a Lustre l/s?

I hope you had a great time celebrating your wedding anniverary! Nice haul, enjoy it. I look forward to your reviews. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I know what you mean about Patina - it's one of my favorite neutral (on me)-with-that-something-extra eyeshadows. I usually wear it on the lid though, as it's a little too light for my crease (skintone difference, I guess).

I like wearing it with deeper bronze, gold, plum... heck, it even looks good with an olive green or grayish green. I imagine it would look great with pink too, though I haven't tried that combo as I have a hard time wearing pink e/s. With the different undertones at work, I've been able to wear this with many different colors.
