I believe it's true, but like everything, in moderation. The scientists advocating sun exposure only say to do it 15 minutes at a time, and not every day, so that's fine. I wear sunblock on a daily basis, but I know getting a little sun isn't bad for me. We as humans need the natural light to spark certain processes in our bodies, and sun has long been believed to help psoriasis sufferers (like my husband). But there's a big difference between a little sun and baking oneself.http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif As long as people are smart about it, it should be ok.

I do not think it is necessary to tan the face!
i always use sunscreen on my face (spf 60) With the rest of the body it is ok for me without the sunscreen. I think it would be enough to get that vitamin D dose.

I firmly believe in moderation with this...I wear sunblock on my face every day and I donīt lay out but Iīm not going to hide from the sun either. Our bodies are made to work with sunlight, emotionally, psychologically and physically...neither extreme is good.

I believe it, but like what everybody said, in moderation. But I'm sure all the pro-tanners will use this as an excuse to bake themselves until they are a crispy burnt brown http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif.

Like everyone else said, everything in moderation is OK http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
Everything in moderation! I agree with the study and everyone's take on it.

I agree with everyone else - I like being outdoors for a little while, so it's good to hear! I always wear sunscreen though - sun might be good for me, but I'm not trying to age.

Do you know how much Vitamin D you get in one glass of OJ? Sure, being outside is good for everyone. However, people can actually get their vitamin D while sitting in the car through windows-so lying out with no sunblock is clearly not the solution.
Nutritionists always say the best diet is eating everything-in moderation. If people get even 15 minutes of sunshine a day (including car drives and whatnot), then that is usually a good amount.

I'm with you cutie! I don't intentionally go outside just to get my sunexposure. I know throughout the day, the sunblock on my face would have worn off so I'm getting my dose of sun coming home from school/work. Mind you it's very, very little http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif. I try to avoid it as much as I can. I'm terrified of getting wrinkles and skin cancer http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif.

Yes moderation! I think some people are using this as an excuse to bake themselves which we already know can lead to skin cancer.
