I had my hair cut last night and she used a ceramic hair straightner just on my ends. My hair is naturally straight with a slight wave towards the ends. I would like to buy salon quality but can't afford it right now. Apparently Conair etc makes them also. Should I buy a drugstore brand or save my money and buy a professional one? Thanks!

Honestly..save your money for a pro one. It will cost more in the long run but it won't damage your hair as much as a cheap one will. I love my sedu and worth every penny! Also be sure to use a heat protectant!

It is hard to find in salons.. I bought mine at folica.com..it has went up in price since I bought it though. Chi is nice too and easier to find

You can get a Chi at Trade Secret in the mall or most salons sell them as well! I def. recommend the Chi as well...I've had mine for a year so far and I LOVE it! I couldn't live without it!

yeah, don't buy a cheap one, they don't heat up hot enough and are just damaging. There are some salons in town that sell good flat irons. You can check out Edward Carriere and see what selection they have. I bought a Solano Sapphire from them about three years ago, but they have more selection now. I paid 200$ for mine. They might have a different distributor, or else the price might have gone down a bit. I think they sell the Chi, but I'm not sure. Vaulthair might also have Chi irons. But try Edward first, since they tend to import (and have the distributors for it) all the good professional name brand stuff.
