I don't need anything energizing, but I'd love a little help dampening the ol' tiger in the tank. Any advice for me on safe appetite suppressants? I definitely do not want anything with caffeine or other stimulants, because I would be using this only in the evenings and don't want to be up all night.

Thanks,
Dar

Plain water. Untill you get used to it though you will be up and down to the bathroom.

ITA w/ spongebobmom. Nothing OTC will fit the bill of "safe" (even the ones that claim to be "all natural"), green tea doesn't fit the bill of being caffeine-free, and water doens't fit the bill of not keeping you up all night. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif Maybe just *some* water, just to keep your stomach from being too empty?

Maybe it's just me but exercising in the morning (or afternoon) helps keep the munchies at bay. Water helps too. I always drink LOTS of water. I have a 33.8 ounce bottle I keep with me all the time, and I always drink at least 2-3 bottles of water a day with it. It seems like a lot of water but my dr. said to drink this much, and it's the minimum amount for me personally. Like anything it's all very personal and what works for you not "everyone else". It does take some getting used to when you start drinking lots of water. But your system will get used to the extra water intake in just a couple days though and you really don't have to run to the bathroom a lot after the first couple of days. And it's easy to drink all that water by keeping the water bottle with you and just sipping at it during the day.

I agree with everyone else that there really are no "safe" pills or whatever to suppress your appetite.

no 100% safe pill- but maybe eating veggies, low fat protien though out the day will help. Carbs make me more hungery since they go through my system fast while meat takes longer to digest making me full longer. I also noticed that I am less hungery since I actually eat 6x small healthy meals a day as oppose to eating three big ones. I guess it keep my blood sugar even so I don't feel starving at the end of the end and eat everything in sight. HTH

I know that this is not a pill- but it is a very good solution for me. I eat an apple and a yogurt. That keeps me full for about 4-5 hours. Its strange . If I eat the apple by itself I'm hungry in a minute. Same goes for yogurt itself. But together these are gold. I just wish I didn't love lasagne, spaghetti, curry chicken, ribs and all the other stuff as much.
I'd eat yog/apple 3 times a day if I could!
