While just browsing on perfumeemporium.com, I came across info. about this perfume called "Halloween". I guess it's supposed to be really haunting and intriguing, and since I am obsessed with perfume, I wondered if anybody has had any experience with it? I think it sounds really interesting since I'm also really into Halloween too lol :-)

Did you get around to trying this, Heather? I sniffed it last year and didn't like it. I had heard it smelled like candy corn, but it was nowhere close. I can't remember what it was like, but I wasn't impressed or I would've bought it (obviously http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ).
I know it is definitely still available because I asked about it in a fragrance shop just a couple weeks ago and they had it. But they didn't have testers so I wasn't able to try it again and see if I liked it better this year.

I did some quick sleuthing and got some more info. Here are several different descriptions of the Halloween fragrance, and I know now why I didn't like it:
1.
http://www.perfumebay.com/8431754044132.html
Halloween by J. Del Pozo for Women
Halloween by J. del Pozo is a bewitching love potion full of mystery and fun. Halloween fragrance for women opens with top notes of green lime from Cozumel, bokhol green bananas, and seas of Alaska. At the heart are floral blends of magnolias, lily of the valley, tuberose and pink pepper. Halloween is a fragrance from Spain.
2.
http://nowsmellthis.blogharbor.com/blog/_archives/2005/8/11/1126909.html
Described as floral and semi-oriental, the Halloween fragrance is a composition of top-note violets, green lime and banana; with magnolias, violets, lilies, tuberoses and pink pepper at its heart, and a bottom note of sandalwood, incense, myrrh and vanilla.

Citrus, Floral, Fruity. Created by Jesus del Pozo in 1997, Halloween is a elegant, floral fragrance. It's fragrant nature explores essences of bergamot , jasmine and tuberose. Blended with notes of freesia, lime blossom, gardenia, mimosa, rose, musk and sandalwood. Halloween is recommended as a romantic type of fragrance.
I don't know about you all, but lime and banana and seas of Alaska and florals just don't equate to "Halloween" for me. I will not be purchasing that stuff. What I will be doing is sticking to some fragrance oils I already have called "Witches Brew", "Pumpkin Spice", 'Candy Corn", "Voodoo" and others from sources such as:

Has a "Headless Horseman" blend recipe here that uses "Fall Harvest" and "Pumpkin Spice" oils.

Good luck finding something you like. I love Halloween and Fall and all the scents of the season. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

P.S. I do love Lolita Lempicka for Fall/Halloween! And anything spicy or licoricey. Does anyone know of anything with a lot of licorice? I may just have to go to those sites I mentioned and find a licorice fragrance oil. Wonder how it'd be with vanilla? http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

<span class="ev_code_BROWN">An old co-worker I had was obsessed with this scent. I remember it was hard to find in the area we lived in so when our manager went to a bigger city she had her pick up some for her.
My co-worker always smelled amazing so if this is the scent she wore then I would recommend it highly!</span>
Ooh I have that one.
It seems to be very popular here. Or at least I see it everywhere.
This was one of my first perfumes. My best friend had it and I asked my dad for one. It didn't smell as good on me. I never got around to really using it. I think perfumes are REALLY personal, and this one is no exception. I don't like it , but some friends are in love with it.
I think there are 2 versions. Or maybe they repackaged. But I bet there's 2 of them. One of them is violet (the interior of the bottle), the other is light blue.
Anyways, HTHS! http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Hey I got that perfume as a gift a year ago! It's alright but I guess but for some reason I also kind of expected it to smell like candy corn or candy apples http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif Anyways to me it smells floral with a sort of smoky/woodsy undertone. It's pretty good though so I'd recommend it.

I really would give it a try if that durn place here had a tester. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif It's their loss, though, since I'll just hang onto my money.

Wow! I didn't even realize that this was the post I had started way back when. I still haven't tried this, but would still love to. However, from descriptions it doesn't really sound warm or autumn-y to me, which are my favorite kinds of scents. I'm loving VS Amber Romance and Britney Spears Fantasy. I gotta try this Halloween though...

I finally got a small eau de toilette bottle of this last week and quite frankly..... I'm underwhelmed. It's just not working for me. It's mostly florally at first and the dry-down isn't anything special on me either. I guess my chemistry just doesn't mesh with it.
At least I got that one ruled out so I can concentrate on others now. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I give the perfume an A+ for the name! I'd buy it for that alone...

I LOVE Halloween and have worn it for years. It is exactly NOT like its name. It is light and one of those aqua/floral transparent scents, but lasts pretty well. Not overbearing at all. I think of lily pads!
