Is this okay for a friend's wedding?

Black suit with a pink dress shirt. It's basically something I'd wear to a job interview http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif The ceremony will be around 1pm, and the reception will be after 6pm at a restaurant.

I tried looking for something nice, but it seems like everything I like (ie. flattering skirt) is WHITE (do they not know it's wedding season???), so obviously I can't wear 'em.

The wedding's on Saturday, and I *really* don't want to search anymore (4 days and 2 malls in one week is enough http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif).

Is your friend into the formality of weddings? Or is she more liberal-minded when it comes to what people wear? If the latter, I'd go with what you have planned out! It's clean, and black isn't taboo at weddings anymore. Unless your friend still thinks so!

I live in Southern CA and black is totally acceptable for weddings. But it may depend on your region or culture too.
