I emailed Dove about their toner cause I need a new bottle but cannot find it anywhere. Dove informed me that it has been discontinued. I emailed them back to see if they are at least offering some sort of replacement soon cause you can't offer a skincare line without the option of a toner, ya know?

Do any of you have any suggestions for a replacement? I don't like the smell of Nivea toner so that's a no-no for me.

Yikes I better cherish what I have left of mine. I'd probably be trying either Nivea (haven't smelled this one yet) or Neutrogena next.

I haven't been too fond of drugstore toners, but I did like Neutrogena Alchol Free Toner. It wasn't bad at all - the only reason I didn't repurchase was because it was kind of sticky. It's not drugstore, but I love Alba Hawaiian Hibiscus Toner from the healthfood store. It's kind of expensive, but worth it, IMO.

The Alba Toner does sound really interesting. I'll check my local healthfood stores first before I order it online. Any other recs??

I dont know how suitable these are but I saw these brands at the drugstore. Ponds, Olay clarity, Loreal, Aveeno all have a toner of some sort. Or you can make your own with essential oils. Use either rose or neroli if you want calming and soothing.

LMD12, sorry about your toner being d/c'ed. Do you have an Eckerd's near you? I've been to a few and they all have had it in their clearance tables or shelves. I've also seen it at Big Lots.

I don't have any Eckerd's near me. I'm going to check Big Lots soon to see what they have. My skin is finally acting right so I'm really reluctant to try something new that isn't real similiar to the Dove.

That sucks that you finally find stuff and your skin is doing well and they are discontinuing it! I'm sorry! http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Well, I checked Big Lots & they had a bunch of the Sensitive Essentials products, but not the toner. I don't want to pay so much for it from that link above since it was only $4 in the store usually. I went ahead & ordered a bottle of the Alba Hawaiian Hisbiscus Toner. I read plenty of good reviews so I hope I like it just as much. I will post back with an update soon.

They also discontinued the Essential Nutrients Night Cream. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif The only moisturizer in 5 years that hasn't broken me out. Seems they are now targeting older women with a new "anti-aging" line. I emailed them and ripped into them about this. Then I went out and bought 2 jars of the night cream before it disappears from the shelf to stash away. I use very little of it so that should last me 2 years at least.

Sorry to hear your toner has been discontinued. What a bummer! If you have trouble finding a replacement, I use the Dr. Brandt linelesse toner (http://skin-care.00freehost.com/dr_brandt/) and it has worked great. It's a little more pricy than a drugstore brand, but I've used the same bottle for about three months now and it hasn't run out. It's worth it when you find something you like.

Mia,
I'm also an avid user of the Night Cream. I'm ticked off as well cause the new anti-aging cream is $10!! instead of the $5 for the original. I've seen the Sensitive version of the night cream though but that has different ingredients. If anything, you can buy the discontinued night cream off ebay when needed. That's what I'm going to do. I'm so tired of companies discontinuing products that really work well. It just doesn't make any sense. If it ain't broke, leave well enough alone, ya know? grrrrr http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

LMD12,
Yeah, I noticed that the new anti-aging moisturizer that is replacing this one is twice the price. Imagine that. I made sure to mention that in my email to good ol' Dove. I also told them to quit trying to be like Olay with their never-ending "new product of the month" and just stick with what works. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gifI finally find a moisturizer I can use and then they take it away. I think this was a big mistake on Dove's part because this Night Cream was raved about by all on any beauty board I've ever visited. Even Cosmetic Cop Paula Begoun called it the most elegant, well-formulated drug store moisturizer ever and praised Dove for loading it with antioxidants. Like you, I've seen the Sensitive Essentials version, too but yeah, it has different ingredients. Guess there's more $$money$$ to be made off the Baby Boomer generation and that's why they're going all "anti-aging" on us. Thanks for ranting right along with me because misery loves company. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
