I went to the Velvet Revolver concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Saturday, and it was awesome!!! They are soooo good live!!! And at one point, I was 3 feet from Scott Weiland. When they did "Sex Type Thing", he went past the entire GA section, where we were at, to the back of the arena and up to the top of the first tier of seats!
It was so awesome to see Slash and Duff, too! Slash is a guitar god, in my opinion, and there he was, live!! And Duff... he's my new rock star crush. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hoobastank opened... I'm not really a fan of theirs, but they did a great job!
They are coming to the new outdoor arena at the casino here in town in August, and I really hope I'll be able to get tickets to that show, too!!

Lucky you! I'll bet they rocked!!! I used to have a major crush on Duff McKagen, still think he's hot, and I love the way he moves. Did he get to sing at all? He sang lead on at least one GnR song, something about "How Can it Be", that may not be the title, but his singing was awesome. Okay! I'm glad you got to see them!

No, he didn't sing any entire songs, but he did all of the backing vocals. They did do two GnR songs, It's So Easy, and Mr. Brownstone, and sounded awesome! I always loved GnR, but didn't like Axl.
