Yesterday I discovered that my 8 year old daughter needed to start wearing deoderant. She has grown-up body odor now. Could this be the beginning of the end... I mean, could this be the early stages of puberty? LOL
It's one of those slaps in the face that reality gives you... she's not my baby anymore!

I started needing deodorant at 8. I needed a bra and had to start shaving under my arms at 10. Started my period at 11. I think your little girl is growing up. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hmmm I hink maybe I was 10 or 11 when I needed deodorant? But yea it sounds to me like your little girl is starting the whole growing up thing

I think I was a little older than your daughter when I started having BO - I'm thinking more around 10-ish. I think that's just the start of things though, as I started wearing a bra when I was 11, and I got my period at 13. She seems a little young, but considering some girls get their periods as young as 8, hopefully she's got awhile before she grows up!!

I hope so too.... I'm definitely not ready to give "the talk"! LOL

I think it might be an early sign of puberty. I always thought that when the breasts start to bud are the first sign, either that or armpit hair. Anyway, I was a late bloomer. (I'm still waiting to bloom actually haha) I think I started using deodorant in jr. high but I mainly started using deordant not because of B.O. but because my older sister wore it and I just had to too!
Anyway, some girls do start puberty sooner than others especially if they weigh more.
