That weight I put on was not all muscle. I'm an idiot and I thought those protein and energy bars were good for me. During the past week I've had 3 a day. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
Okay, I weigh a little over 100lbs. My pants are like busting at the seams. My butt is gigantic and I have a big roll spilling out from my waistline. I told my mom and she looked at the calories on tha back of the bars. I'm gonna finish the 2 I have left, and no more protein bars anymore. I'm also on Zyprexa as of last Monday. It's an appetite booster. So, my increased appetite plus protein bars are a bad thing.
I'm going to icorporate more fiber in my diet. I'm eating a chicken salad right now. I need the vegetables.
I got some of that that cereal. I forget the name but it's practically all fiber. I'm gonna sprinkle some of that onto my shredded wheat.
And I'm gonna have 5 small meals daily. Not, all of that snacking I used to do.

Rachel-I think energy bars are still good to have as a light meal, but I do think having 3 a day was really overdoing it. You don't want to turn into Regina from Mean Girls!
I'm having a big problem with snacking right now, too. My stomach is at its biggest it's ever been, I'm disgusted. I need to stop baking cupcakes. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

lol this is exactly what I thought about when I first read this.
Its ok rayray...a little excess weight is fine. You seem to be naturally small and you have a good lifestyle, so I'm sure that as soon as all those bars are removed from your diet the weight will come off easily.

protein/energy bars are good once in a while -- not 3 times a day -- your body needs real food, not franken food. that said, i eat a half of a bar sometimes before a workout, b/c i dont like to eat on an empty stomach.
eating healthy & exercising is a learning experience -- you learn from your errors & move on. good luck to you!

Good Luck with it Rachel. Even at 100 lbs, I think you are still at a healthy weight. Let us know how it works out for you.
I think nothing is really bad when you eat it/do it in moderation. That's kind of my motto http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif Overeating (even "good stuff") will be bad for you. Heck, even water can be bad for you if you drink too much of it!
So you have to have a balanced diet with healthy portions.

Nat-You have to keep in mind that the two of you have different builds. You look gorgeous in all your pics, a perfect weight! At the same time, so does Ray. She just has more of a slight build than you, I think.
Still, both of you have great bodies and look fine the way you are. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah, the stuff marketed as protein things for working out seems to contain a lot of calories. You really can't go wrong with trying to eat more fiber! What I'm trying to do now (not to lose weight, just to be healthier) is try to really eat a *ton* of veggies...like when I make dinner I'll make a whole crown of broccoli for myself and eat that first before I go for the starch.
