Got another Dachshund!

We were at the pet store today just looking around and came across a piebald mini dachshund. Ours are both females, but this ones a male. He's sooo cute, and the owner of the petstore knows me through my past purchases of my current dachshunds, so she cut me a deal too. My females are spayed, but our neighbors have a female that they said they want to mate with a male, but they didn't know anyone with a male dachshund. So that's what we'll do, then take one of their baby females for ourselves and use it to breed. I also got offered a job at the petstore for part-time work, which I've been trying to find another part-time job anyway, so that worked out cool! The hours will be 8-1 a few days a week, which is exactly what I wanted. And well, let's face it, I'm an animal lover! I'll know for sure next week though.

I'll post pics of him in a little bit. My camera's charging right now. My husband decided on Odie for his name, which does suit him.

Thanks so much! I want to open my own cake shop one day. That swag that looks like satin is actally made of icing. Fondant to be exact.. a kinda chewy-textured icing.

Thanks! Yes, we raised a squirrel from when it was a teeny tiny baby. She fell out of a tree during a storm, and her mom never came to look for her, so we bottle fed her and raised her for a few months. We named her Nutsy, lol. When we bought our house, we released her. She lived in our backyard for a long time, then got pregnant (up until then, we thought she was a boy, lol! It's hard to tell with squirrels). I'm sure she still lives around here somewhere, but since we got our dogs, squirrels are scared to come into our yard now, lol. We also raised a flying squirrel before this squirrel.

We also now have 4 stray cats that we feed in our front yard, 2 of which just had babies! I'm taking them to a shelter when they are big enough, and the mommas I'm getting spayed.

Call me Dr. DoLittle, lol! I'm an animal lover!
