Try looking at Wet & Wild. I have a dark purple from them that I really love. (I think it's called Plum Silva.) And ultra-cheap, so if you don't like it, no great loss. (I think their shadows are something like $1.99 each.)

Loreal has a very pretty dark purple one, I think it's holographic or something, dark purple with lighter purple shimmer. Milani has 2 purple ones..one that looks like MAC shale(dark greyish purple)and one that looks like UD asphyxia(bright purple with blue silvery pink shimmers)and I know that Jane has a dark purple as well. That's all I can think of for now, Good Luck!

2nd this - I haven't tried it, but it's the first one that came to mind. I wish I could help more, but most of my e/s are high-end now.
