Hi guys.

So I know you can't tone one part of your body without losing overall weight, but I kind of have a problem.

I have really nice abs. I run and walk everyday too after going to the gym, but no matter what, I can't get rid of the extra fat! I'm also on a diet, which is helping me lose weight, just not where I want http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

So does anyone know of any good exercises for your obliques? I tried checking at the gym I go to, but there aren't any machines for that specified area.

Doing crunches where you touch your elbow to the opposite knee works your obliques. You can also do them fast while moving your legs as though you were riding a bicycle.

I hope my description makes sense. I take a class at the gym where we do these, but they're hard to describe.

leg lifts are hard and really work- lie down on your back- legs straight. lift legs up and down.

When you say that you have nice abs but extra fat does that mean that the muscles aren't visible? If so, you need to do some cardio. At least 30 minuts of it so you can lose that excess fat. You will then be able to see those muscles!
