How many bottles of fragrance do you have?

I really hold back on purchasing fragrance because I have had a couple of bottles spoil on me within 1 ½ years. Granted I have a south-facing room in Southern California and I’ve left them out in the heat and light (really bad I know).

I haven't had a perfume gone bad on me yet, but I've managed to buy a bottle or two that had gone off before I opened it.

<span class="ev_code_BLUE">Um... let me count. I have 7 full sized perfumes. Escada Sentiment, Britney Spears Curious, Gucci II, Gucci Envy Me, Bvlgari Notte, Bvlgari Eu De Blanc, & Miss Dior Cherie. I have 2 full sized colognes Tommy Hilfiger Tommy & Liz Claiborne Curve (the orginal). Amongst all that stuff I have dozens of small perfumes which I don't even know the names, samples, and sprays. I've had my Curious for almost 2 years (I stopped using it like a year ago) and it's really weird. It turned into a lime greenish shade & the nozzle was clogged and greasy. Perhaps it's gone bad. Who knows. </span>

I'm not afraid that they won't turn bad because I wear fragrance everyday and try not to keep too many. I also where possible buy the smallest one they have 30 ml, except when they have giftsets I prefer to buy those (for the free bodylotion) and they have usualy 50 ml fragrances in them.

The one exception is the van Cleef & Arpels one, it's only availible in 125 ml but it's an eau de toilette so I use more of that.

I sometimes take the fragrances with me in my bag but with the 125 ml one that is not easy. </span>

I have 13 full-sized bottles and I guess about 30 samples and decants. And some cheap fruity stuff from Yves Rocher etc. that I don't wear or count.

I try to keep my bottles out of sun and heat, especially the ones I don't use very often.

Right now I have NONE!!!!

But I just put in an order for Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Amour de Cacao and Annick Goutal's Eau de Charlotte. Both are 100ml.

My last bottle of Hanae Mori 100ml spoiled when I got 60% through it. And I used it everyday for a year and a half! Before that my Eau de Ciel spoiled the same way after wearing it everyday. Oh well, lesson learned. I am going to put it under my bathroom sink inside the cabinet so the heat doesn't get to it. I'm almost tempted to store it in the refrigerator. I heard that it would okay so long as I seal it tight. Any opinions on that?

At the Osmoteque (perfume museum) in Versailles they keep their perfumes refrigerated, so if it's good enough for them...
