View Full Version : Ultra white eyes
I use ClearEyes drops daily, but sometimes my eyes are still irritated, and I still have those red 'veins' on the inner corners.
Any tips on how you keep your eyes brightest and whitest?

I was going to recommend whitening drops, but you already use ClearEyes. I really like the Rohto V brand.

you have to learn to wean yourself off of eyedrops. What starts to happen if you use them regularily, (like everyday) is that over time, they won't work anymore, and instead of getting rid of the redness, they'll just make your eyes redder. It creates a rebound effect. It even says on some eye drop labels now, that it's really not a good idea to use de-reddening eyedrops on a daily basis.

I use eyedrops daily. Visine and ClearEyes. The de-redding ones are only for when they get really irritated. Chilled chamomile tea bags with caffiene make your eyes super white. I use a gel eye mask from the freezer to relax them.
Rohto makes really nice ones. I have the blue moisturizing and green refreshing ones.
See, when I'm out somewhere. I can use the drops but the red veins still come back. I think it's just allergies and the pollution/air from the outdoors. If you have time, put in some drops, take a nap or just close your eyes and relax. It makes them look completely re-awakened.

It probably is allergies. You should get prescription eye drops for allergies instead of using over the counter stuff for redness. Talk to your eye doctor about it. HTHS!

That's so true. I used to use ClearEyes/Visine daily and my eyes became so dependent on these products. My eyes would get red in the late afternoon almost everyday. My eye doctor recommended not using them anymore but using a preservative-free natural tears type of product instead. I use Tears Naturale FreeŽ Lubricant Eye Drops now and I LOVE it - no more red eyes ever http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
