I was reading Allure magazine and CG is coming out with an empty 4 pan palette. 20 eyeshadows, 14 lipsticks (not sure if these are the exact numbers) will be available.Choose your colors and make your own palettes. Sounds really neat. Anyone else heard of this?

Ooh I know I saw this a couple weeks ago in Allure too! I am so entering that thing! It reminds me of a MAC Palette http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I read that article-what a cool idea! I love how you can make your own palette, and I'm sure all of the individual pieces will be quite affordable. It's also nice if you're not sure about a shade. You can buy the palette size as a trial size. I can't wait to start making palettes!

Yeah, I saw this when I got my Allure in the mail. This sounds like a really cool idea!! I swear when I was in middle school (remember, at 30 I'm an old lady compared to a lot of you, so this was awhile ago) either Revlon or L'Oreal had a compact you bought separately and then bought the e/s pans to fill it in with. I'm sure I'll be buying one of these (I never win those Allure things).

I remeber those. I think it may have been Revlon or one it's sister brands. Claredon maybe?

I think the brand was Clarion. They had this little "computer" thingy that took your skin profile and told you what m/u colors to wear. Oh, the nostalgia!!

I read in Budget Living that they are maggentized. So they can be placed into any metal container. A nice solution for all those Altoid tins I have around.
