If you could customize your own skin care what would you put in it and what would you leave out? What would you like it to do for you? TIA! http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I would leave out menthol, fragrance and coloring, definitely.

What would I include? AHA's probably, a retinol product, and BROAD spectrum SPF15 mininum.

I don't want the typical bad guys: fragrance, dyes, menthol, anything irritating to the skin

What I do want... at least for each individual product is this:

cleanser: basic foaming gel cleanser that removes all traces of dirt and makeup

toner: about 2% BHA

moisturizer: at least 8% AHA

SPF: not too greasy, gel sunscreen with about SPF 30. Mixture of avobenzone, and zinc oxide (titanium dioxide is too white http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif).

That's all I can think of for now. http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I agree with what's been said so far - no fragrance, colorants, or irritating ingredients. For specific products...

- I want a cleanser that I can use both morning and night. It shouldn't strip my skin, but it should remove all traces of everyday makeup. I'd prefer a creamy gel consistency, and it should foam.

- I want a toner with at least 8% AHA. It should be non-irritating, non-drying, and prepare my skin for moisturizer.

- I want a daytime moisturizer that is lightweight, keeps me matte, has a broad-spectrum SPF of at least 15 (30-45 in the summer).

- I want a nighttime moisturizer that's a light-weight gel-cream that sinks in fast, yet moisturizes well.

- I'd also like to have some type of treatment product, probably benzoyl peroxide. I'd like it to be a lightweight gel-cream and non-drying.

Most importantly, none of these products should break me out!!

What I want in skincare:

- an oil free product
- A toner which that diminishes the pores
- An Anti Aging (http://skin-care.00freehost.com/anti-aging/) product that activates the cells and minimizes fine lines and wrinkles.
- A moisturizer formulated for dry skin and an eyelid moisturizer for delicate eyelid skin
- Collagen based, pH-balanced, no residue
- I'm all about a nice smell. Some products just smell disgusting. Either a nice smell or no fragrance at all is preferable

I agree with USA chic. Also I want simplicity. Not 25 products to pick from and have it narrowed down to 6 steps. 3 steps, 4 MAX.

Cleanser: Simple...wash and go...moisturizing but removes makeup and doesn't leave a oily/greasy film.

Toner: Again moisturizing, refreshing. Ideally though I wouldn't need a toner, the cleanser would remove everything, including eye makeup.

Moisturizer: Very moisturizing but doesn't leave a slick film behind. Lasts at least 12 hrs before I feel the need to reapply.

Acne med..gentle but effective..doesn't cause dryness or redness.

Thankfully I have found most of those things in my current routine already http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

wow, you really know your 'stuff' http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I know fragrance can irritate skin but I actually like fragrance in products as long as it's not overwhelming.

I want a cleanser in a bottle with a pump and that also removes eyemakeup completly but it's still soft

the daytime moisturizer should have a minimum of spf 25, easy to apply (gellotion, or lotion) and have the latest ingredients that have really proven they work (and have enough from that in it)and give a glow

the nighttime moisturizer can be a cream, which is soothing and have to have the same ingredients as above and have an exfoliating ingredient.

sunscreen in a pompbottle with a thin texture, easy to spread with a minimum of spf 35

eyecream that prevents/soften the look of wrinkles and make dark circles dissapear, with a spf of 15

and it has to be in beautifull package like something that looks like frosted glass (but isn't glass) or something.
