What do the lightbulbs mean?

I have a question regarding the little lightbulbs to the left of each thread. What do they mean? Do they signify new posts, because some of them are yellow and some of them are not even though I have not read all of them. Thanks in advance!

There is a legend at the bottom of the main forum page http://www.icompact.com/forums/ This should explain the lightbulbs. When creating the new forum, Gavin tried to make it as close to the old one as possible, but as he didn't read the forums that much before, he may have gotten it wrong. If stuff isn't working, please let me know and we can make changes.

Now you mention it, now I wonder if the icons are clear enough.. Maybe the yellow bulb should be for new posts.. Heh let's see how it goes for now
