MAC pigments! I got Chocolate Brown, Vanilla, Melon, and Tan for now. If I like them (which I'm sure I will) I will get more! :)
I want dark soul, does anyone have that one and like it? I was also wondering about Old Gold as well as Blue-Brown. Thanks! :D

Oooh, nice choices! I have Vanilla, Melon and Tan and love them...I've got the minis of tan & vanilla from the MAC set a couple of Christmases ago, I always forget about them b/c I keep them in the case they came in.
Old Gold is a really unique shade, I have a sample and I love it. It's really great when applied wet, a beautiful antiqued gold with a green flash. I think you'd be happy with it. I also have Blue Brown (from the same mini set) and I never use it. It's, in my opinion, very hard to pull off. It's very pretty in the container but it's also the exact same color as a black eye. I've tried it every which way, and I always look like I just lost a big fight.

Very nice choice!! I love them all, especially chocolate brown and vanilla. Old Gold is a very unique shade, you may want to try it out first, or search for some pics that with people wearing it. Personally I like it, but I don't use it enough. Blue brown is one of my fav too, at first I hated it, cuz the red in it makes me look sick, but after seeing someone uses black as base and then layering blue brown over, I tried it and now I love it! It's also a very unique shade. Dark Soul is OK, not black enough for me, I don't really recommend it. You should see Rose though, it's a gorgeous shade and that you can use it as e/s, blush, or on lips. I think it'll look great on you.

Oooh nice haul, Melissa! I have and love all 4 pigments you ordered. I like Old Gold too. It's a unique shade. Blue Brown is all right, but probably not one of my faves - it's so pretty, but just harder to pull off. I keep meaning to try it layered over a black e/s like Kat mentioned...

Glad I asked before ordering some of the other ones! I want to check out Rose, and see Old Gold in person. I got an e-mail saying they shipped already! I just ordered them Friday morning, so I am really excited to get them!

Blue Brown is a hard shade to use...I have a mini jar of it from a sampler kit from last Christmas and I think I've worn it twice.

Great order, Melissa! I hope you love them. :)
I love Old Gold too. It's a really fun shade, and I think it would look good on you. I have to agree that Blue Brown is hard to wear. It isn't an easy shade to wear because of the reddish undertone. I have a sample of this, and I haven't been able to find a way to make it work. I've seen it work on others though, and when it does, it looks fab. Maybe you could get a sample of this first, if you make your next purchases at a counter or free-standing store?
I second Kat's rec for Rose. I can't wear this on my eyes because it's too pink, but it's great on the cheeks and mixed with clear or tinted gloss on the lips. You can do the same with Tan. I can use this on my eyes, but I also use it on my cheeks and lips. It makes a very pretty lipgloss.

Nice haul! I recently got into pigments too and now they are my favorite eyeshadows! I have Old Gold and Chocolate Brown. Chocolate Brown is my favorite brown eyeshadow. I have really dark brown eyes, so it's very hard for me to find a brown eyeshadow that doesn't make my eyes look dead or that doesn't have reddish undertones, which make me look sickly. Chocolate Brown is just as the name describes - a warm chocolate shade with no reddish undertones. It's a great smokey eye look for me. Old Gold, on the other hand, is a very unique shade that is a little harder for me to pull off. It's a bronzey-gold shade that flashes green, and it looks very "neon" on me right now with my pale winter skin. I've put it with my summer shades to try again when I have a tan. I don't have MAC's Tan Pigment but I do have L'Oreal HIP's knock-off version and I don't mind it, although it's not a shade that I wear very often. I used to have their knock-off of Chocolate Brown too, but it was way too reddish-brown for me so I tossed it. You should try Sunnydaze, my personal favorite. It's a very shimmery silvery taupe that looks dazzling when used wet with lots of black mascara.
