The rant if for John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shine Release Volumizing Shapmoo in Chestnut to Espresso.
What's so bad about it?
It actually makes my hair limper
My hair is also less shiny
It's frizzy, and it NEVER gets frizzy
It looks dry and unhealthy
It makes my head itch
It smells bad
I never knew a shampoo could be so bad. I've only used it for two days, but it doesn't look good at all so far. This is going back to CVS!

Awww I'm sorry! http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif When I was blonde, I had the same type of issues with the sheer blonde shampoo, so now that I am back to brunette I have not tried it

Oooh that really sucks! I use the John Frieda Redhead shampoo, and I never have a problem. Hopefully you find a better one. Have you tried the Pantene line for brunettes?

I'm sorry about that. Hope you find something that works better. Thanks for the warning, though.

I was interested in trying this, but I might have to give it a pass now. Thanks for sharing.

I have the same shampoo and I like it. I don't use it every day. Maybe once a week. It's not a wash-and-go shampoo for me. I have to heat style my hair after I use it in order for it to look good. But when I do it looks very shiny.
Normally I use Finesse, which looks good if I just wash and let it air dry.

Thanks for the heads up - I'll definitely avoid this!

I second your rant, Luckygirl!! This stuff was the worst. It actually made my hair stiff. It felt like I washed my hair with starch!

I think some volumizing shampoos leave stiffness to the hair. Matrix's Amplify, a volumizing line, left my hair stiff (I used the shampoo and conditioner). It did work for volumizing my hair, but the stiffness was just too much to take, so I don't use this anymore.
I'm sorry that this didn't work for you. But at least you get to experiment with some more shampoos http://community.icompact.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
