Mix it up!

Keeping snacks in the freezer is a good idea. I like mixed berries. They ARE like candy, and the variety---blueberries, blackberries, red raspberries---is oh so satisfying.

Favorite Heathy Snacks?

When you eat a healthy snack, you can add a great diet and nutrition to combat hunger before dinner. The best snacks are low in calories but high in fibre and other nutrients. Add a little protein to make you feel satisfied until your next meal. For me, simpler and easier to prepare a better meal. So, I settle for coffee and bread.

Fresh fruit, raw nuts, banana, apple, or celery with a little peanut butter. I like to roast raw seeds like pumpkin or sunflower with a bit of olive oil or organic raw coconut oil and sea salt. Greek yogurt with fresh berries and honey or agave or truvia.

Since going on Weight Watchers, I'm more likely to reach for fruit now as a snack or a 100-calorie pack. There are so many varieties of 100-calorie packs out there now. The Weight Watchers snacks are good too. We don't buy junk food anymore. If it's not in the house, then we can't eat it!

Fat free yogurt, low fat cottage cheese, fruit (fresh, frozen, or fruit cups packed in light juice), veggies (grape tomatoes and baby carrots).
