Editing posts and tools?

To whom it may concern,

I recently made a wish-list post on the Make-up board and thought it would be cool if I/we could be able to update the original post by using a strike-through tool...
Wait, is there one? Am I missing something or is this something I have to do on my own keyboard? I'm dumb when it comes to computers lol...this way I/we can "check off" if you will, the items that have already been purchased/we no longer want without having to start a new post.

Also, it would be easier to be able to edit old posts days, weeks, or even months later instead of, again, always having to add new posts to each thread. I think this would come in handy especially for our Monthly Use-Up and Monthly Hits & Misses lists

Please pardon my bad grammar and punctuation. I just hope my post was clear...I tend to have a hard time with words.

Thank you for your time
Jessica

As far as I know the strike through feature isn't enabled on this board, although it should be possible to change that. The time limit on editing posts can probably be changed too but I'm pretty sure only the admins are able to do those things, and I don't think they come here too often.

I'm not quite sure how to do those things, but hopefully Maeve and Gavin will see this post and help you!

Thanks girls! I'm going to try and figure out the strike-through tool on my computer and see if I can use it when using the message boards

Unfortunately anything you try to do won't work without the feature being enabled. You can go into Word and type something and strike it and copy and paste it, and the strike shows up in the reply box but when you hit post it goes away.

If you try to use the UBB code for strikethrough text, the tags show up without doing anything. On other boards it will work, but if you do it here [s]it just does this.[/s]

I really don't think there's anything we can do without the admins changing the settings.

It would be useful though so maybe they'll see this.

It's too bad that the admins didn't see this thread because these suggestions would be great features for our boards.
