traded in my car for an SUV

Funny how I always said I didn't ever want to drive an SUV.

Since I've been running errands for the bar so much since I quit my job in February, I just couldn't load enough stuff into to back. I'd end up with stuff all the way from the back, the back seat, and into the passenger seat in the front. And one of my big coolers only fit in one particular spot, so everything else had to be juggled around it.

Besides, hubs never really cared for the Prius anyway. Too small, he always said (I'm guessing he really meant too girly) LOL

So, last week I decided it was time to trade the Pruis for something bigger, so I started looking online, and found this 2009 Toyota Highlander locally, only 18,000 miles on it and a good price. Got a good trade in value on the Prius, so now it's mine.

I like it, it's plenty roomy enough for lots of cargo and still roomy for passengers as well. and hubs likes it so he can't complain. LOL

Here's a picture....

Nice! I'd always had a sedan until last year when I bought my SUV. I wouldn't go back for anything! Not saying I'd never have another car (because I'd buy a muscle car or sports car tomorrow if I could lol), but I'd have to have an SUV too.

Thanks! I'm really liking it a lot already! I've carried a load of supplies to the bar, and brought home groceries and a giant bag of dog food, and could have put twice as much into the back. LOL And it's still not so big that it feels like driving a tank (like hubs' truck does).

Thanks! It's actually a lot easier to drive and get in & out of parking places than I thought it was going to be. I'm really happy about that.

Of course, I have had to put gas in it and it cost me $50 (the Prius usually only took $25), but I knew that was going to happen. Hubs said "welcome to my world". It takes about $75 to fill up his truck. LOL

Yeah with gas being almost $4/gal that's about what mine costs too. Sucks, but I can get close to 400 miles to a tank, so that helps. I usually fill about about every 7-10 days depending on how much I drive.

That's about how often I'll probably be filling mine up. The Prius I could usually get 2 or 3 weeks out of, since it got 45-50 mpg. I knew anything else would probably get about half that, so I was mentally prepared. LOL
