Proactiv Vending Machines?
One of the local malls have a Proactiv stand with sales people. I went to another mall and they have a Proactiv vending machine. You put your money or credit card in and put what you want. Has anyone else seen these? Do you feel comfortable using it? If the machine broke down without you knowing it you could be out of a lot of money. It's not like losing a dollar in a drink machine. Also do you think this could caught on and more companies start selling their products in vending machines?

That is so weird....
I dunno.
With all the self checkouts and stuff I bet this will become the norm.
There must be a call in case of error type number somewhere on the machine.
That is so strange though. hehe. Thanks.

I've never seen a Proactiv vending machine, but Apple makes them for Ipods and Ipod accessories. It looks cool, but it's such a weird concept.

I've never seen these (the proactiv or ipod)! They sound like they would be pretty cool. It is a lot of money to put into a vending machine though. I do like that they cut out the salespeople from buying in person (it's probably just me, but I get very uncomfortable around salespeople) and the shipping costs from buying online or from a catalog.

I saw these in my local mall for Neutrogena products (makeup and skin care). Everyone kept looking at it like "am I really seeing what I think I'm seeing?"
It does cut out the middleman and the problem of stuff getting pushed out of the store - I'm sure that's part of the motivation, it seems ALL makeup, hair & skincare lines are getting huge and the companies are at the mercy of the stores as to what actually gets placed on the shelves. The problem to get over would be the whole fact that it's a lot of $$$ to put in a vending machine and worry about it not working. I think that even nowadays we're not quite that comfy with machines replacing humans.

I'm amused by this vending machine idea! I think it's so weird! I don't really like sales people but I'd feel more comfortable paying them versus a machine.

I didn't know abot Ipod and Neutrogena. We were looking at that vending machine as if they were just invented, LOL! It will be interteresting to see if this idea caughts on in a large scale.
