I went to the MAC counter today to get a new foundation and concealer considering that Px is being discontinued. The SA had the same skintone as me so I finally believe that I've been shade matched correctly! She showed me some of her fave products and they turned out to be some of my faves, too.
I was shade matched with:
Studio Fix Fluid in NC20
Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in C2
Select Cover-Up in NC20
I also treated myself to some color products. I'm really excited to try these out:
Dazzleglass in Money, Honey
Dazzleglass in Bare Necessity
Mineralize Eyeshadow Quad in Odd Bits
Matte Blush in The Perfect Cheek
At Target I got:
Pantene Brunette Expressions S & C - Used these yesterday morning and I can't believe how wonderful they are for less than $5 a bottle! It just goes to show that drugstore brands can be just as good. It all depends on your hair type. I love these better than my Bed Head products! The Bed Head ones don't detangle my hair at all and I feel that my hair looks duller with them. The sickly-sweet scents were starting to annoy me too. Pantene just smells clean, which is all I want my hair to smell like. And while stylists always recommend NOT using it, my best friend uses nothing but Pantene and her hair always looks great!
Pantene Ultra-Smoothing Balm - I ran out of Phytodefrisant and didn't feel like spending $30 for smoothing balm, so I decided to try this. It works just as good!
Pantene Anti-Humidity Hairspray - This also works great! New HGs.
St. Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Wash - I paid $2.94 for a huge bottle of this! It smells great and lathers a ton so what more do I need? I love Philosophy's 3-in-1's but $30 is really expensive for a bottle of body wash. I figure save money in these other areas and then I'll have more money for MAC.
Boots Expert Shine Control Lotion - This is the only product that I don't like. The consistency of it is great, but it seems to make my oily skin even oilier. I've got Studio Fix Powder now so I'm going to return this.
