Workout Thoughts
I liked the Makeup Thoughts thread, and had an idea to bounce that idea off to this area. Maybe this will help us stay motivated and work out.
Yesterday I walked/jogged 1 mile. I did 5 minutes walking, 5 minutes jogging, and the rest of the time walking. I also did the shake weight (yes, i got it.... after reading a ton of great reviews on it. It's tough!!)
Today I did another walk/jog 1 mile thing. I wanted to try the Jillian Michaels "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism" dvd, but didn't. I'm going to get the "30 day shred" dvd and do that on my days that I don't work my arms.

I've been slacking so far this summer, but it's been so ridiculously hot and humid that I haven't wanted to do anything outside. Friday I went to the park, and alternated walking, jogging, and sprinting short distances. I don't know how many miles it was since the trails at that particular park aren't marked, but I was there for over an hour, so at least a few. I need to get the app for my phone (Run Something? I don't remember the exact name, but my dad and brother both have it and it's pretty cool) that keeps track of distances.
I've gone to the mall a couple times to walk around, but it's just not the same, lol. Hopefully it'll cool down soon so I can get back to my trails!

I've been so bad the past few days! Last week I got all my Bob Harper workout DVDs, but they're SO TOUGH that it makes me not want to use them! I went to Boston Sun/Mon and today was my birthday so I haven't exercise since Saturday. I'll get back on the horse tomorrow with Bob Harper's Yoga Warrior DVD. It's an hour-long, intense power yoga workout that I love (the only DVD I'm excited to use lol).

Cool idea While I was on vacation I ate nothing but fattnening restaurant food, takeout, and other junk yet I didn't notice a change in my body cause I was so active. I walked around all day and even climbed a mountain in Hawaii. So that burn all those calories. But-after I got home from vacation I literally didn't move. I slept, watched tv, ate ice cream, read in bed, or was on the computer all day long for 2 weeks. I'm not working and was so exhausted. I didn't notice but I piled on chunk on my thighs and bit on my stomach. I only gained 2.5 lbs but on my frame is was noticable.
Since I'm planning a move to California within the next 2 months I kicked it back into gear. I walked for 45 mins Monday, and hour on Tuesday, and did some pilates.

I have fallen off the exercise keep fit wagon I want to get back into fitness but it's soooo hard to get motivated. My excuse at the moment is that my workout TV is broken and it's too cold outside. hehe.
I will do something about this tomorrow.. i promise...

I walk for nearly an hour everyday (sometimes more), though in about three weeks I move back home, and this means I'll have to make time for walking everyday instead of just doing it because it's my main means of getting around. Also, I really need to start up doing some other things. Start Pilates again. Maybe try some Zumba (I've got a video of it, and it looks interesting enough).
Also, even though this is a bit dorky, I got Pokemon SoulSilver, and it comes with a pedometer! (It's a new thing to help level up your Pokemon - you can take it for a virtual walk.) I still need my DS to get it started, but next week I'll be able to track how many steps I take a day, which will help me figure out how many more I need to take a day.

Walked for 45 mins this morning. I have to go out in the morning when it's around 75 cause later on in the day it's like 95+ degrees. Cannot stand it. Body is looking better and feeling firmer already.

I considered today my "cheat" day since I didn't do any jogging. I just walked 1 mile. My muscles were sore from my brief DVD workout that I did yesterday.

Been trying to do little mini workouts everywhere.
Wall push-outs on the elevator. Calf raises while doing prep in the kitchen at work.
Also recently fell in love with the art of parkour! (free running).
