Adderal?

Has anyone here used adderal? My doc prescribed it for me and my Facebook friend has me a bit freaked out about it. I'm mostly worried about it's addicting nature. But I can't focus enough to even read a book.

I haven't taken it myself, but I have lots of clients who use stimulants. Was it a psychiatrist or a primary care physician who prescribed it to you? Did you have major problems with inattentiveness before you were 7 years old? Research shows there is no such thing as adult-onset ADHD and where some adults certain have ADHD that persists into adulthood, lots of adults have problems with inattentiveness due to other things (that stimulants aren't as good for).

I can remember being this way but not as bad as long as I can remember. It got much worse when I was medicated for bipolar.

I take Adderall on occasion. I could not focus or finish a task to save my life back in highschool and college. My psychiatrist prescribed it when I was 18 and it was just incredible. My grades improved and I could focus amazingly. It also makes you talk and really listen to others. I zone out and kinda live in a fantasy world in my head and when people talk to me I completely forget what they say. I now take it maybe 1-3 times a month depending on the nature of my work. Usually a cup of coffee or caffeinated tea will get me up and going. But, there's days on set where I've been doing makeup for 10 hours and have to truck on through and I take one. I only take half and save the other half for later.

I know others who get addicted to it and I don't think everyone can handle it. I don't have an addictive personality with the things I've tried. I've been on countless anti-depressants and I drink but nothing ever has hooked me. In fact, I prefer the feeling of nothing in me and being natural.
